Great Scot

Our very own Jane Linton, our Scottish designer extraordinaire, ran her first London Marathon this year in a shade over five hours. Jane ran to raise money for two cancer charities with her friend Jennifer Tawse who has battled cancer in the past. The pair raised more than £10,000 in total for Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres and Cancer Research UK.

It took our Jane four years to actually take part in the marathon after three years of failed ballots and then pulling out with runner's knee (it's a real condition - look it up) last year. Luckily the knee survived pounding the streets of London. "I found the last six miles the easiest for some strange reason - although it might have been the pull of a glass of wine waiting for me at the finish line," said Jane.

Jane now has the marathon bug and aims to run the five majors, London - tick, New York - tick and still to complete - Berlin, Chicago and Boston. Let's hope that knee holds out!
