Bob joins influential industry board
Bob Wailling, beetroot's managing director, has become a board
member at CiB successor organisation the Institute of Internal
Communication (IoIC). Members elected the Institute's first Board
at their AGM in Chester on May 13.
"These are crucial times for our industry and for our
industry association as it takes on prestigious Institute status,"
said Bob. "beetroot already supports it in a number of ways - not
least by being a Proud Supporter - but I am keen to become even
more involved in shaping our industry's future. These are exciting
times."
Bob has also been made one of the first new Fellows of IOIC.
Fellowship is the Institute's highest honour, and recognises
service to the industry at a very senior level over a period of
years and is awarded by a panel of distinguished Fellows.
CiB former chairman Ken Runicles, who recommended Bob for
Fellowship, praised his "long, sustained and distinguished career
in internal communications and the wider world of publishing".
Ken added: "Bob will be a real asset to the Institute as it
becomes our industry's most prestigious and influential body."
