We’re patting ourselves on the back at beetroot after our fantastic achievement at the 2008 Communicators in Business Awards held in Brighton on 23 May – we returned with four Class winners and a total of 18 Awards of Excellence.

beetroot has grown its working relationship with Islington Council by winning the design and production of its monthly staff magazine, ICNews.

The magazine builds on the success of the other magazines, brochures, posters and literature produced for the London council. Graham Cook, creative director, said: “We’ve been working closely with Islington Council, helping them grow their external communications offering and establish their new brand. Naturally we’re delighted to be working on their internal comms as well.”

Islington’s corporate communications manager (external), customer, Kate Barlow, commented: “beetroot has continued to meet and go beyond our expectations. Their creative concepts have challenged conventional municipal design and the team are always a delight to work with.”
